Running from the Per Ankh

Of course. Just my luck. I rolled my eyes as I ran through the city of Sydney, Australia, my khopesh tied to my back and wand in hand. Per Ankh people were basically stalkers. Ugh.

I pointed my wand behind me, mentally screaming "Fire!" A burst of fire appeared at the end of my wand and at the Per Ankh people.

I tensed, watching as a boy ran towards me. I drew my khopesh and ducked low into a crowd of tourists, trying to think of another spell to use.

I ducked behind a hot dog stand, pointing my wand at the Per Ankh girl. I think her name was Nila? Whatever.

"Tracker!" I shouted, as the dog ran past me and began sniffing around to find Natalie. Of course she'd run.

"Fire!" I shouted, and another stream of fire shot towards the Per Ankh girl. She hit the ground as it flew past her, dissipating. I cursed and started running again.

"You know," said that stupid voice in my head, Sekhmet, "I'd eat her alive and drink her blood if you let me take over."

I snarled, and ran faster.

I yelled in surprise, and shouted in response, "Fire!" It shot a path forward, towards a boy in the crowd.

I coughed, and bumped into a man. I ran past him.

I narrowed my eyes. "Per Ankh?"

I stopped running by a building, breathing heavily. Then I remembered: Oh god, the boy.... Rolling my eyes, I ran back the way I came.
